Yukisayaka is named for its appearance, which is white, glossy and smooth, like snow. This rice is grown in Tomakomai, just south of Sapporo. It is characterized by its shiny, snow-colored kernel, and has sweet taste and normal stickiness. It is particularly suitable for making sushi or seasoning with furikake.
